About Dru Yoga


Dru Yoga is stillness in motion.  Dru translates into 'still point'. It is the North Star, the point around which the universe revolves; it is the calm in the eye of the storm, the refuge we all seek where we can be free from stresses and strains of our modern world.

Dru Yoga is about positive health and wellbeing, with yoga and meditation at its core its practice inspires a natural healthy way of life from young to old and from all walks of life.

Dru Yoga is a graceful, potent form of yoga, based with soft flowing movements, controlled direct breath and visualisation. It's foundation is set in ancient yogic traditions while working on body, mind and spirit - improving strength and flexibility by creating a stable core, building positive feelings and rejuvenating your whole being.

Dru Yoga is designed to be practiced by people of all abilities, fitness levels and age groups. Dru Yoga is about relieving the enormous stresses and pressures of modern day living.

Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma to practice Relaxation Massage, Level 2 Reiki Practioner, Internationally recognised Dru Yoga Teacher (3 yr course, student teacher accredited. Completion due 2017).

Gwen Ellen has a passion for helping others navigate their health journey so you have the tools and knowledge to decide on how to manage your own health.  Gwen Ellen continually maintains professional development through new courses, seminars and reading the latest medical research journals. Considerable research is now taking place in Eastern Health Philosophy and Practice and 'proving' what has been common healing methods for thousands of years across the Asia Pacific.

Gwen Ellen's  Yoga classes will include correct body alignment points for posture, health considerations and the benefits on a physical, mental and energetic level.  Gwen Ellen's professional knowledge will be shared with all in class and she is available for further conversation.
